September 22nd - November 30th, 2025
(See bottom of page for spring 2025 study)
Join us as we dive into the powerful books of 2 Peter and Jude—short letters with a strong message for today. In a world of confusion and compromise, these books call us to stand firm in truth, grow in grace, and contend for the faith with courage. We'll explore themes of spiritual growth, false teaching, God's judgment, and His promises. Whether you're new to Scripture or seasoned in your walk, this study will challenge and encourage you to live with bold faith in uncertain times.
Life on Life groups consist of 3-4 people, assigned by our pastors, meeting every other week over the course of ten weeks (five meetings in all) to discuss the passages assigned for study.

FAQ
WHAT IS LIFE ON LIFE?
Life on Life (LOL) groups consist of 3-4 people meeting every other week over the course of 10 weeks to discuss the passages assigned for study. You will spend time each week studying a passage on your own, which will prepare you for the upcoming group meeting every other week. An email is sent out every Monday to all participants to introduce that week's passage.
HOW ARE GROUPS FORMED?
Groups are formed at the discretion of the pastoral staff based on what they think would be a good fit. Participants are emailed on the first day of the LOL season to inform them of who is in their group. Groups are gender-specific. Many groups choose to stay together over multiple seasons when possible.
WHEN ARE LIFE ON LIFE MEETINGS?
Meetings occur every other week during the ten-week season (5 meetings in all). Most groups choose to meet on the weekend in order to give everyone time to complete the second week's study questions, but the exact day and time is determined by each group. You will work out what works best for your group when you are emailed on the first day of the season.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN LIFE ON LIFE MEETINGS?

(1) I would like to be placed in a group
(2) I would like to meet with my previous Life on Life group
(3) I would like to just receive the weekly email

- What implications does this passage have for the Christian life?
- What personal application do you draw from this passage for your life, ministry and role at RBC? (Be specific.)
- Write out one or two verses especially impactful to you from this passage (not just the reference, but the entire verse).
- Spend time praying about what you have gleaned from this passage, especially in the above questions.

Sample study of 1 Peter 1:3-12:
First of all, you begin by reading through the passage observing and recording key themes. Now, in small passages, there may only be one or two key themes. But you record your observations simply by quoting the word(s) associated with these themes and writing a verse reference. For example, if I were doing a study in 1 Peter 1:3-12 I might write down the following observation under key themes: God’s “mercy” and “grace” (1:3, 10). This is an example of how you would record one key theme found in this passage. Note, even though these are two different words, they convey one basic idea/theme.
After you have recorded key themes you will read through the passage again and formulate one or two sentences that summarize what the passage is about. Your summary should be comprehensive, in that it should cover all of the significant points of the passage, and it should be succinct – not too wordy. Overall, it should reflect your key themes.
When you record the implications, it will usually be very similar to your summary. The implications simply take the summary and generalizes it as a truth for all believers at all times.
You conclude your study by taking the implications and applying them to your life. In this step, you should not be talking about general application, but personal application. What does God want you to do, specifically, in view of this passage?
